Funny that Shug mentions that he started posting videos to YouTube so he could embed them on posts at the Hammock Forums. He had no idea he would generate such a following.
We begin to get to know Shug a little deeper than just what we've seen in his videos. He talks about the deeper human connection when sharing the outdoors together. He compares it to playing and singing bluegrass. He also talks about the woods as the special gift that God gave to us hikers who get to enjoy it on a deeper level than those who won't get out there.
There's a good bit of hammock talk too. The joy of the comfort of the hammock allows us to laze around while doing other things. Shug can do a little editing from his hammock and Rylan watches movies or reads. Life is good!
Enjoy The Trail!

Somewhere in this one, Shug mentions my name and says something about how he feels like he knows me a little bit.... I got a little creeped out. I mean, this guy is some kinda tree-hugging hippie clown, right? But that's ok! I totally got the "It's a gift" part! Amen, brother! We all got the gift!
Don't be creeped out

It's my ambition to get near cult status like Lori, Jason and James have. I'll never be nor perhaps want even DemiGod status that Tagless & Tagalong, Kent (He-who-must-not-be-named, the Podcaster from the Dark Side)or Shug have.
Being in the UK, I'll like-as-not sadly never get the chance to meet up with you guys but I enjoy the connection of our shared interest and the little bits of our lives we share too.
I met podcassters Bob & Rose (Outdoors Station/Backpackinglight.co.uk) this weekend and had to consciously stop myself from talking to them like I truly know them just because I've listened to over a 100 hours of them online.... now that's when it gets a bit creepy - for all of us.
