Attempting to have a discussion wrapping up the last AT hike toothless and I go all over the place. Actually we rambled on so long I've cut it into two episodes. I'll have the next part up in a week or so.
Kent and I did eventually get to some of the happenings from the last trip. Some of our food came up and so did some of the other hikers we encountered on the trail. This was part of thru-hiker season in Virginia and we met several interesting people. There were a few really buggy days and we both noticed that they wouldn't fly under the brim of a hat, under an umbrella or under the tarps that hung over our hammocks. Since this was my first hike using a hammock instead of a tent we had a little hammock discussion also.
For anyone who doesn't know Kent he is the organizer of these AT section hikes. Kent also publishes a fantastic podcast called AT Hiking.

Rylan... Great to hear SE BPers on the net again. Great show with Kent.
Love the comments about the meal prep and the fact that it is the time in camp to relax and be social.
Anyway.. great show. Love to hear my hiking buddies (long distance).
Hitting the trail in 2 weeks...
Can't wait.
